Cate Rafferty has had a long relationship with SPCI, initially as a client where she was the HR Director at Irving Oil and now as a Senior Associate. Cate is passionate about helping companies grow their profits by unleashing the potential in their employees.  She brings over 20 years of HR and clinical experience to her clients with expertise in many facets of Human Resources.

As a Certified Pathfinder consultant, Ms. Rafferty employs this powerful coaching tool to help teams and organizations to hire, develop and retain top talent.  She helps individuals to understand and maximize their unique strengths and development needs for optimal career success.

Ms. Rafferty’s career in Human Resources has included experience as an HR Generalist, Executive Recruiter, Trainer and Instructional Designer at companies such as Macy’s and Irving Oil.  As the Director of Human Resources for Irving Oil Marketing she was responsible for Employee Relations, Training, Recruitment and Employee Engagement.  In this position, Ms. Rafferty was a leader in initiating and implementing a comprehensive and business-changing customer service initiative that resulted in year-over-year sales and customer satisfaction increases while employee engagement scores simultaneously increased every year.

Prior to her work with Irving, Ms. Rafferty received her Master’s Degree in Adult Education, Counseling.  As a therapist Cate worked with adults seeking to make meaningful change.  Working with groups and individuals, she employed targeted interventions to help clients create extraordinary transformations.

Cate’s experience as an HR Leader and therapist provide her with a unique insight into leadership and human behavior.   Cate is a skilled and engaging trainer and facilitator who connects at every level of an organization.  She is a highly effective professional with a passion for making a difference in the success of businesses and individuals.

Ms. Rafferty received her Master’s Degree in Adult Education, Counseling and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire.
